GLOBAL FUND C7 - GRAND
The Global Fund Cycle 7 (GF C7) Grant for HIV Prevention, Care, and
Treatment Interventions is implemented by the Government of Tanzania through
the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and the Ministry of Health (MoH), with the aim of
strengthening comprehensive HIV responses nationwide. The grant prioritizes Key
and Vulnerable Populations, who experience disproportionately higher HIV risk
and face structural barriers to accessing essential services.
The Government of Tanzania serves as the Principal Recipient, providing
strategic oversight and ensuring alignment with national HIV policies and
guidelines. The Civil Society Service Consortium (CSSC) functions as the lead
Civil Society Organization (CSO) Sub-Recipient, responsible for grant
management, performance monitoring, and provision of technical support to
Sub-Sub Recipients, including STEPS Tanzania.
STEPS Tanzania implements community-based HIV interventions in
collaboration with regional and council health structures across seven regions:
Dar es Salaam, Mbeya, Njombe, Ruvuma, Tanga, Morogoro, and Songwe. The program
focuses on KVP groups (MHR and WHR) aiming to improve service coverage, linkage
to care, and retention in treatment.
